Downtown Showdown!

Welcome to the vibrant downtowns of Cary and Apex! In this video, we’re exploring two unique communities, each with its own charm and character.

First up, Downtown Cary. With a population of 180,000, it’s larger than its neighbor, Apex. The city has been working for over two decades to revitalize its downtown, and the completion of Downtown Cary Park in November 2023 is a testament to their success. The rest of Downtown Cary is equally bustling. The Cary Arts Center is a hub of cultural activity, and there are plenty of restaurants, parks, craft breweries, and even a boutique hotel. Ashworth Village offers more shopping options, and there are several coffee shops to grab a cup of joe. The area is also seeing lots of construction, with new condos and apartments on the rise.

Now let’s hop over to Downtown Apex. With a population of 73,000, it’s smaller than Cary but no less charming. The historic downtown has been a cohesive community for many years. Hunter Street Park is a great starting point, with its skate park, ball fields, and mountain bike skills trail. Salem Street is the heart of the historic area, lined with historic houses, the Halle Arts Center, and a variety of restaurants, shops, boutiques, and more.
